Hallmark Resort | Newport, OR

10/10 the best family-friendly spot on the Oregon Coast! We loved our stay at Hallmark Resort in Newport, Oregon, just minutes away from NYE beach boardwalk. All the rooms at Hallmark Resort have an ocean view, and if you’re looking for some extra space, there’s also family-friendly, multi-room options. This was great for us so we could put our little one down for bed and still enjoy the rest of the evening in our other room, cozy by the fireplace. Upon check-in, family’s receive a sand bucket + toys (so cute, right??), and the restaurant on-site, Georgie’s, has a treasure test for kids to pick out a toy with their “Georige’s Buck” thats tucked inside the kids menu – yup just keeps gettin’ cute-r! The coast is so magical for us, and Newport is the perfect location with SO many kid-friendly activites. Don’t forget to check out my “Newport” highlights on Insta and check out the below info for our favorite spots around town! Make sure you stay at Hallmark Resort next time you’re headed to the coast. You won’t find better hospitality and amenities for the whole fam!

Oregon Coast Aquarium

Can’t go wrong with this crowd pleaser! This aquarium is consistently ranked top 10 in the US! The active otters and sea lions are so fun to watch! They also have a very cool “passage to the deep” exhibit, along with many others. We also scored big and bought our tickets at the Hallmark Resort’s front desk, which helped us avoid waiting in a long line at the aquarium!

19 N Coast Hwy, Newport, OR 97365

So many flavors and yummy options! And a fun little wheely cart for kids that aren’t tall enough to see into the ice cream display, chalkboard tables, and sugar-free option ice cream (along with MANY very sugary options!).

Wild Sea Lions + Clearwater Restaurant

Dinner and a show! You can sit out on the outdoor patio of the restaurant and watch/listen the wild Seal Lions talk at ya! It’s very entertaining for all ages. Outdoor seating is limited though so make sure you make a reservation in advance! Otherwise, the sea lions are also surrounded by a public dock and you can observe them from there without dining in!
